Measure the space you can actually use

A sticker needs to fit the clear, usable area of an object, not its overall dimensions. Measure the available width and height with a ruler. Leave room around edges, seams and curves, and keep stickers away from vents, hinges, cameras, controls and safety labels. PeelMood’s object presets are starting references rather than device-specific templates.

Choose a starting size, then test it

These are optional design starting points, not standard sizes or fit guarantees. Cut a plain-paper sample and compare it with your actual object.

• Planner or journal accent: try 15–25 mm wide and check that small details stay readable.
• Notebook cover: try 30–50 mm wide, allowing room for your title and other decorations.
• Laptop cover: try 40–70 mm wide within a clear area.
• Phone case: try 20–35 mm wide, well clear of camera openings and moving parts.
• Bottle or small container: start around 25–40 mm wide and test how the paper sits on the curve. Material suitability matters as much as size.

Set the width in Size Studio

Choose a pack and a single design, then enter the printed width in millimeters. The height updates automatically to preserve the artwork’s proportions. Compare both dimensions with your usable area. Add the design to your sheet, choose A4 or US Letter, and download the PDF.

For quick conversions, 1 inch is 25.4 mm, 2 inches is 50.8 mm and 3 inches is 76.2 mm. The PNG export preserves the original pixel scale; use the sized PDF when a specific millimeter measurement matters.

Print at 100% and check the ruler line

Print the PDF using Actual Size or 100% scale on the matching paper size. Adobe’s Fit option can enlarge or reduce the page, so it can change the dimensions you selected. Measure the 50 mm scale line printed on a Size Studio sheet. If it is not 50 mm long, check the print scaling before using sticker paper.

Check shape, detail and placement

Cut out the plain-paper sample and hold it in place without removing any adhesive backing. A tall design can exceed your space even when its width fits. A flat paper sample can also reveal whether a curved surface is likely to wrinkle or lift around the edges.

PeelMood’s designs are raster artwork, so making a sticker larger spreads the available pixels over a larger area. Use the Size Studio quality indicator as a prompt to inspect a test print, not a sharpness guarantee. If fine details look soft, reduce the printed width.

Before sticking it down

Check the material’s surface and care instructions. Printable artwork does not establish waterproofing, removable adhesion or compatibility with a particular object. When in doubt, keep your design on a notebook or another suitable low-risk surface until you have tested the material.
