How to Print Stickers at Home

Start with a small test sheet

You can turn a PeelMood download into stickers with a compatible home printer, full-sheet sticker paper and scissors. Start with one pack and a plain-paper test before using your sticker paper. The printer, ink or toner, and material you choose determine the finished result.

1. Choose your sheet and paper size

Download the A4 or US Letter PDF that matches the paper in your printer. Use the actual download rather than a screenshot of the preview. If you want individual designs at a particular width, arrange them in Size Studio and export a sized PDF.

2. Check printer and paper compatibility

Read the sticker-paper packaging and your printer manual before loading a sheet. The material must match your printer type and supported media thickness. Follow the manufacturer’s loading and media-setting instructions; there is no single best setting for every printer and sticker paper.

• Inkjet printers need inkjet-compatible sticker material.
• Laser printers need laser-compatible material that can handle their printing process.
• A dual-compatible sheet must explicitly list both printer types.

3. Print on ordinary paper first

For a PDF with a set physical size, select Actual Size or 100% scale. Fit changes the scale to match the printable area. Check the preview for clipping and confirm the selected paper size before printing. On a Size Studio PDF, measure the printed 50 mm scale line with a ruler; it should be 50 mm long.

Cut out a paper sample and place it where you plan to use the sticker. Check both its size and whether small details are still easy to see.

4. Print, dry and hand-cut

Load the printable side as directed and make your first sticker-paper print. Let the ink dry for the time recommended by the material manufacturer before touching the artwork or cutting. Cut around each design with scissors, leaving a small border if you like. Follow the adhesive instructions when applying it to a clean, dry, suitable surface.

If your first print needs adjusting

Change one thing at a time and try another small test.

• Wrong size: check the PDF paper size and disable Fit or automatic scaling.
• Smudging: confirm the printable side, paper compatibility, media setting and drying instructions.
• Clipped artwork: inspect the print preview and the printer’s printable margins.
• Soft details: choose a smaller sticker size. Enlarging raster artwork does not add detail.

Do you need a cutting machine?

No. These sheets can be hand-cut. A sheet PDF does not automatically provide the individual cut paths or registration marks a cutting-machine workflow may require. If you choose to use a cutter, follow its setup instructions and test a single design first.
